Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the displacement sensor operating by a DC power source by a method wherein the relative displacement of a core and a coil in accordance with a change of an object of measurement is detected from a change of direct current caused by a change of the cycle of the oscillating output of an oscillation circuit whose oscillating element is the coil. CONSTITUTION:The output of a non-stable multivibrator 27 containing the coils 12 and 13 serving as the oscillating element is smoothed and taken out from output terminals 23 and 24. Into the coils 12 and 13 is inserted the core 11 connected to the abject of measurement, and when the core 11 is located in the neutral position of the coils 12 and 13, the output of the output terminals 23 and 24 turns zero. And, when the core 11 moves in the direction of an arrow or in the direction reverse thereto, positive and negative DC voltages corresponding to the displacement of the core are delivered from the output terminal 23 and 24.
