Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the coating operation of a scaling inhibitor in a short time without the need to demount flanges, etc., by providing scaling inhibitor coaters to a condenser, each header of a polymerizer, and pipings leading to these.
CONSTITUTION: In a polymerizer with a condenser 2, scaling inhibitor coaters 4 are provided to the condenser 2, each header 3 of the polymerizer 1, and pipings leading to these. The coaters 4 have nozzles 9 attached to flanges 8. A preferred diameter of droplets of the agent sprayed is 1,000μm or more. Since coating operation of the scaling inhibitor can be automatically performed in several seconds to several tens seconds without the need to demount the flanges, etc., in a closed system, the coating operation to be carried out for every polymerization batch or several batches is made easier and safer, giving an excellent preventing effect on scaling.
