Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a ring-shaped filler which is drawn into a whirlpool together with a metallic bnad plate and will not lose strength or elasticity even above 400°C because the filler is formed of materials where the principal material is expansion vermiculite.
CONSTITUTION: A laminated body is formed by laying a soft metal foil 5 on a filler 1 formed into a sheet, which is made of materials where the principal material is expansion vermiculite. A printing cutting process is applied to the laminated body in such a manner as to form a laminated band plate which is crooked into a required shape, and a metallic band plate 3 which have been crooked in advance is drawn into a whirlpool together with the laminated band plate to form a ring. The soft metal foil 5 is laid on the filler 1 to assuredly prevent the occurrence of defects such as breakage or cracks of the filler in printing.
