Abstract
PURPOSE:To diffuse hydrogen to a metal hydride quickly, by storing both a metal hydride which absorbs and desorbs hydrogen, and is supported by a network structure or a porous body and hydrogen in a container. CONSTITUTION:One or a blend of alloys, e.g., LaNI5Hx, MmNI5Hx, MuCo5Hx, NdCo5Hx, FeTiHx, etc. is activated against hydrogen, to give a metal hydride for adsorbing and desorbing hydrogen. Both the metal hydride supported by a network structure or porous body having a mesh of 5mu-5mm. and a void of 62-99% and hydrogen are stored in a container made of aluminum, stainless steel, copper, or brass, having a pressure resistance about 10atm free from hydrogen brittlenss and permeability to hydrogen gas.
