PURPOSE:To prevent a transfer speed from decreasing as the cable length between a channel and a low-priority device increases, by interposing a transfer device without changing interfaces of the channel and low-priority device. CONSTITUTION:A channel corresponding transfer device 3A having an interface for a channel 1 and a low-priority device corresponding transfer device 3B having an interface for a low-priority device 2 are provided, and the channel 1 and low- priority device 2 are linked together directly by a cable. In this case, exactly the same interfaces are used. On the other hand, the devices 3A and 3B have buffers 9A1-9An and 9B1-9Bn, each having a memory capacity of >=1 bit, to perform data transfer.
