Abstract

PURPOSE: To attempt to improve a great deal thermal efficiency by recovering the heat energy which the exhaust gas of a gas turbine possesses to a steam turbine cycle through an exhaust heat recovery boiler.
CONSTITUTION: Compressed air from a compressor 1 is led to a combustor 2 and there it is mixed with the fuel suplied from a piping 3 and the mixture is burned to develop high temperature, high pressure combustion gas. A gas turbine cycle is constituted by driving a gas turbine 4 by the above combustion gas. A steam turbine cycle is combined with the gas turbine cycle to achieve effective heat recovery. In this arrangement the water in a water supply tank 15 is led to the economizer 8 of an exhaust heat recovery boiler 6 which is connected to the outlet of the turbine 4, and there the water is heated. Next the water is supplied to a gas-and-water separator 9. Then the boiler water is recycled between the gas-and-water separator 9 and an evaporator 11 by a recycling pump 10 to obtain saturated steam. The saturated steam is supplied to a steam turbine 13 through a superheater 12.
