Abstract
PURPOSE:Tio obtain a titled steel plate of less pinholes and high corrosion resistance at high speeds by pickling a blank steel strip for a short time, and subjecting the same to preliminary flux treatment then to plating with a molten Pb-Sn type alloy bath. CONSTITUTION:A blank steel strip of an un-coiler 21 is introduced via a welding machine 22, a front lever 23, a degreasing device 24, a scrubber 25, and a rinsing device 26 into a pickling device 27, where it is pickled for <=5 seconds. After it is rinsed in a rinsing device 28, it is electroplated with metal of good reactivity with a molten Pb-Sn type alloy bath in an electroplating device 29. This strip is passed through a rinsing tank 30 and a preflux tank 31 then through a flux tank 32 where it is plated with a molten Pb-Sn type alloy plating bath 33. It is subjected to the control of a coating weight and the leveling of the surface with a high pressure gas squeezing device 35. Thence, this is cooled in cooler 36, 37, after which it is passed through a quenching device 39, a chemical treating device 40, a rinsing device 41, a drying device 42 and an oil coating device and is taken up on a coiler 44.
