CONSTITUTION:In the event of emergency damping, switches S1, S2 are closed by an emergency damping signal, and the brake is applied by short-circuiting the windings of reel motors 14, 15 through resistances R1, R2. At the same time, a capstan motor driving signal is turned off, but in accordance with the emergency damping signal, a capstan motor driving circuit 9 continues to drive a capstan motor 11 through a electric power amplifying circuit 10. On the other hand, when a rotational speed of the reel motors 14, 15 approaches a stop state, the comparing circuit turns off the electric power amplifying circuit through an emergency driving controlling circuit 17, and discontinues and stops driving of the capstan motor 11. An electric power supplying circuit 18 operates each circuit until each motor stops even in case of service interruption.
