Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a good color-developed image at the low temperature and rapidly by incorporating two kinds of phenol type acidic substance in the heat- sensitive layer containing phenol type acidic substance and leucodye. CONSTITUTION:Thermal recording material provided with the heat-sensitive layer which contains colorless or pale leucodye developing color by heating with phenol type acidic substance (color-developer) (e.g.: alpha naphthol etc.) and phenolic substance (e.g.: compound of formula III) of formulaI(X: S or radical of formula II: R1, R2, R3, R4: H, C1-15 alkyl) and phenolic material (e.g.: compound of formula V) of formula IV (X, R1-R4: same as descrbed above) as main components and higher fatty acid amide (e.g. lauryl amide etc.) if required. By addition of two kinds of phenolic substance the good color-developed image can be obtained at the low temperature rapidly. The color-development initiating temperature is lowered further by additon of higher fatty acid amide, and it becomes suitable for high speed thermal facsimile etc.
