Abstract
PURPOSE:To form the pitch of the fluorescent screen of a color cathode-ray tube regularly, by arranging an exposing light source in the center common to both a panel and a master pattern of which the curved surface is diametrically smaller than but similar to the inner curved surface of the panel and exposing both of them while giving them relative movement. CONSTITUTION:A master pattern 42 of which the curved surface is diametrically smaller than but similar to the inner curved surface of the front panel 41 of a cathode-ray tube and on which a permeable pattern of the same pitch as that of a fluorescent stripe is formed, is arranged concentrically with the panel 41. Then, an exposing light source 43 is arranged in the center common to the curved surfaces of the panel 41 and the pattern 42, and both of them are exposed, while give them relative movement successively. Then, with regard to the points of projection A, B on the surface of the panel 41 corresponding to the permeable pattern A0, B0 and the points projection A', B' on said surface corresponding to the permeable pattern A'0, B'0 after moving the pattern 42, the distance between the points of projection A, A' is equal to that between the points of projection B, B'. Thereby, the pitch of the tri- color stripe formed on the surface of the panel 41 and that of an index stripe can be formed regularly and a fine fluorescent screen can be obtained.
