CONSTITUTION:The core metal roller 21 and the silicon rubber layer 22 of an intermediate transfer medium 2 are heated with a heater H. A toner image on an latent image bearing drum 2 is heated from the side in contact with the medium 2, generally resulting in forming a temperature gradient as shown in the figure.
