Abstract

PURPOSE:To compose natural chromakey by introducing space filtering which generates ''blur'' in color video signals into chromakey processing. CONSTITUTION:A color video signal VA applied from an input terminal 1 is treated as the foreground signal of a panoramic photograph including chromakey back and a color video signal VB applied from an input terminal 2 is treated as a background signal for insertion. These two signals are sent to two-dimentional filter circuits 3, 4 and, after ''blur'' processing, they are inputted in a video mixing circuit 8 as a foreground signal VA' and a background signal VB' respectively. The signal VA' is also sent to a chromakey signal generating circuit 7 to generate a chromakey signal KEY with tone wedge. Thus, if the degree of ''blur'' is high, ''blur'' is generated also in the chromakey back picture at the same time as blurring of the foreground picture, so that the generated signal KEY operates as a signal with loose leading at the border of the chromakey back picture.
