Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled low-cost composition having low scattering tendency, high fluidity, and specific particle size, and having rather mild restriction in the particle size range, by compounding fine powder of inorganic carrier having specific particle size with a coagulant composed of a substance having a viscosity higher than a specific level, and further adding hollow microspheres and an active component to the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: The objective pesticide powder composition is prepared by compounding fine powder of inorganic carrier of ≤46μ particle diameter with a coagulant composed of a substance having a viscosity of ≥20 cps at 20°C (e.g. gear oil, tris-isopropyl phosphate, etc.), and further compounding with hollow microspheres (e.g. glass microballoons, shirasu balloons, etc.) and an active component (e.g. pesticide). For example, the coagulant is mixed with the hollow microspheres, and the resultnt mixture is mixed with pesticide powder of ≤46μ diameter to obtain the objective composition. The addition of the coagulant is effective to reduce the scattering of the pasticide, and the hollow microspheres prevent the lowering of the fluidity. The composition thus obtaned is ≤46μ in diameter.
