Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the labor for jam treatment by maintaining the pressing state of the 1st and 2nd rollers, disengaging a latching means manually from a detaining means in accordance with need, and manually turning one of the 1st and 2nd support means with respect to the other. CONSTITUTION:While rollers 18, 19 are located in the set position where they play the role of fixing, the notch 54 of the pedestal 26 thereof and the notch 55 of a rail 27 align and fit onto the projecting part 53 of a supporting plate 28. Hence, when the plate 28 is in a normal position, the side face of the notch 54 of the pedestal 26, buts on the part 53, and in this state the body part of a fixing device cannot be pulled out from the set position. If a pawl 20, a guide plate 21, and ejecting rollers 22, 23 are retreated from the rear part of the rollers 18, 19, and the plate 28 is turned down around a shaft 42, the part 53 escapes from the notches 54, 55, and the body part of the fixing device can now be pulled out from the set position. In this way, there is no need for assembling and reassembling the fixing device, and the labor for jam treatment is saved.
