Abstract
PURPOSE: A composition useful for sealing electric parts etc., having improved adhesive to metal parts, and low post-molding shrinkage, obtained by adding a copolymerizable monomer, an unsaturated epoxy resin, and a thermoplastic polymer to an unsaturated polyester resin.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. unsaturated polyester resin is blended with (B) 5W200pts.wt. copolymerizable monomer (e.g., styrene, etc.), (C) 10W500pts.wt. unsaturated epoxy resin (e.g., a reaction product of an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, e.g., oleic acid, etc. with epoxy resin, etc., preferably having a molecular weight of 300W5,000), as a crosslinking component, and (D) 5W100pts.wt. thermoplastic polymer (e.g., ABS resin, styrene-butadiene copolymer, etc.), to give the desired composition.
