CONSTITUTION:Rectangular frame type coils 3 provided with many turns are secured along the center line on one side 2a of an oblong iron plate 2. Locations are chosen on the iron plate 2 for the rectangular frame type coils 3 so that many are located where they may accomplish the high-speed drive of the travelling unit 11 mainly composed of magnets whose N and S poles are arranged alternately. Thus a linear motor can be produced with an energy saving feature.
