Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a protective paint film of superior chipping damage resistance by forming the urethane resin intermediate paint film on an electrodeposited undercoating film of a composition contg. polybutadine contg. isocyanate terminal groups, a hardener and a catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A urethane resin paint film is formed between an electrodeposited undercoating paint film and a top coating or second paint film. Here, the urethane resin paint film is constituted of the paint film having the under-mentioned properties formed of the compositon contg. the under-mentioned components. The compositon consisting of a polymer prepd. by adding isocyanate to a telechelie polymer of 1,4-polybutadiene having both terminal hydroxyl groups produced by, for example, radical polymn. of butadiene and blocking or not blocking the isocyanate group, a compound having two or more active haydrogens in one molecule as a hardener and a catalyst is used. The resultant paint film has properties of -30W +10°CTg, and ≥20kg/cm2 adhesive power.
