Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate bad influence to an output shaft, and to enhance precision of measurement of twist of an electric motor by a method wherein a driving shaft being equipped with a rotor is made hollow and the output shaft is inserted therein, both the shafts are connected with an elastic body, and transmitted torque is detected from the quantity of twist. CONSTITUTION:The rotor 3 is fixed on the hollow driving shaft 8, and the output shaft 9 is rotatably supported at the hollow part of the driving shaft 8 concentrically with the driving shaft 8. The driving shaft 8 and the output shaft 9 are connected with the elastic body 23 on the anti-load side, detecting elements 13a, 13b are fixed to the driving shaft 8 and the output shaft 9 to measure the quantity of twist of the elastic body 23, and transmitted torque is detected from the quantity of twist thereof. Accordingly permanent distortion and damage are not generated in the output shaft 9, and because the detecting parts can be gathered on the anti-load side, precision of measurement can be enhanced.
