Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce energy consumption by decreasing the rotational frequency of an engine automatically when the engine is not loaded. CONSTITUTION:In rate operation, and actuator 3 adjusts the rotational frequency of an engine automatically by the frequency control program of a computer 1. When the engine is unloaded, a control box 17 detects 7 a decrease in load current and if the decrease continues for a prescribed time, a slow-down program is developed automatically to move the actuator 3 to a idling operation position, thereby decreasing the rotational frequency automatically. If the engine is loaded again during slow-down operation, or when the load is started during low-speed operation, the control box 17 detects an increase in load current by a load current signal 7 and a rapid increase program is developed to move the actuator 3 to a rated-operation position instantaneously.
