Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrain length of the whole of a waveguide type laser device to short the same with a low output laser oscillator and to contrive to enhance output thereof by a method wherein a refractive optical system of optical fiber or mirror, etc., is used. CONSTITUTION:A laser oscillator 1 and a waveguide type CO2 laser amplifier 3, and mutual amplifiers 3 are coupled optically with optical fiber 5. A laser beam oscillated in the laser oscillator 1 is amplified during transmission through fiber 5 from the first step amplifier to the latter step amplifier in order, and is enhanced up to the necessitated output of oscillation. While the whole length of the device can be made as nearly the same with length of one oscillator 1 by providing the oscillator 1 and the amplifier 3,... in disposed condition in parallel with each other utilizing flexibility of fiber 5.
