Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a rubber compsn, which has excellent wet heat-resistant adhesiveness and can prevent a lowering in adhesive force to brass under high temperature and humidity conditions, by incorporating a cobalt salt of an org. acid and 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-trithiol into a rubber compsn.
CONSTITUTION: 0.5W5pts.wt. Cobalt salt of an org. acid and 0.1W5pts.wt. 1,3,5- triazine-2,4-6-trithiol in combinaton per 100pts.wt. rubber, are incorporated as adhesive materials into a rubber compsn. When a resorcinol or substd. phenol-formaldehyde resin and a melamine derivative are further incorporated into the rubber compsn., wet heat-resistant adhesiveness can be further improved. Examles of said melamine derivatives are compds. of the formula wherein R1, R2, R4, R5 are each -CH2OH, -CH2OCH3; R3 is -OCH3, -OC2H5;R6is -CH2OCH3,-CH2OC2H5; n is 1W5. Methylolmelamine derivatives where R3 is -OCH3 and other groups are each -CH2OH or -CH2OCH3, are preferred.
