Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled polymer compsn. having excellent low-temperature impact strength and improved paint-adherability, by blending an ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber and finely divided calcium carbonate having a specified particle size with a crystalline propylene polymer.
CONSTITUTION: 5W50wt% Ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber having a propylene content of 10W60wt% and 5W30wt. precipitated calcium carbonate or wet- process crushed finely divided heavy clacium carbonate having a particle size of 0.05W1μ, are blended with 30W85wt% polypropylene having an isotactic index of 40 or higher, or crystalline propylene copolymer such as propylene-ethylene random copilymer oa propylene-ethylene-butene-1 copolymer. The above components are mixed by using an extruder, Banbury mixer, etc. to produce the desired propylene polymer compsn.
