Abstract

PURPOSE: An adhesive exhibiting sufficient adhesion for a wood material in a short time, which is obtd. by incorporating a silicone oil in an α-cyanoacrylate monomer or in an π-cyanoacrylate adhesive composition.
CONSTITUTION: A silicone oil soluble in the α-cyanoacrylate monomer described below is incoroporated in the α-cyanoacrylate monomer or in an α-cyanoacrylate adhesive composition primarily composed of the α-cyanoacrylate monomer. The α- cyanoacrylate monomer is pref. a monomer of formulaI(wherein R is 16c or lower alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, haloalkyl or cycloalkyl). A compd. of formula II (wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R10, R11, and R12 are H, alkyle, etc.; R7 and R8 are alkylene, etc.; m≥0; n>1; p≥1) is pref. as the silicone oil.
