Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an aluminum alloy for a roll-bonding material, having prescribed values or more of the elongation and tensile strength after it has been annealed, containing specified ingredients of manganes and magnesium.
CONSTITUTION: The aluminum alloy is prepared to contain 0.5W1.0wt% of manganese and 0.3W0.7wt% of magnesium. After the alloy has been annealed, it has a tensile strength about 12kg/mm2 or more and an elongation of about 25% or more. The alloy can contain unavoidable impurities such as Cr, Si and Fe, provided that their amounts wound not alter the properties.
