Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a remedy for hepatitis, easily, with relatively simple procedures, by using TENDAIUYAKU (linderae Radix), GAJUTSU (Zedoariae Rhizoma) and BYAKUJUTSU (Atractylodis Rhizoma) which are long-established crude drugs, as active components.
CONSTITUTION: TENDAIUYAKU, GAJUTSU, or BYAKUJUTSU, (all are crude drugs) is directly steam-distilled, and the distillate is shaken, separated, etc. in a separatory funnel. The obtained selinane-type sesquiterpenes (e.g. linderene, atractylone, etc.) and/or germacrane-type sesquiterpenes (e.g. linderane, linderolactone, etc.) are used as an active component of the remedy for hepatitis. Dose: pref. 50W 100mg/dose, 2W3 times a day. The crude drugs uses as the raw materials are easily avaiable.
