Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency by selecting diagnostic data from an arithmetic circuit when a control storage word read in a control-storage-word readout register is in diagnostic mode. CONSTITUTION:A control storage word is read out of a control-storage-word readout register 2, and an arithmetic circuit 9 which inputs the contents of the parameter part of the register 2 and receives part of the contents of th control part of the register 2 as a control input is provided. Then, a constant register 13 stores the one-step preceding output of the circuit and it is inputted to the circuit 9. Further, a selecting circuit is provided which receives the output of the circuit 9 as one input and is controlled according to the state of a specific bit. When the output control storage word of the register 2 is in diagnostic mode, diagnostic data is selected from the circuit 9 to reduce a diagnostic microprogram.
