Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled filamentary yarn of high quality having a fine size per filament without the unevenness of size and physical properties and a high maximal draw ratio, by melt spinning a thermoplastic polymer with a horizontal spinning stack, cooling the extruded filamentary yarn with a cooling gas rectified by gas rectifying apparatuses, and taking the yarn at a specific taking off speed.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic polymer is extruded through a spinneret 1 by the melt spinning method with a horizontal blowing spinning stack having a cooling gas blowing surface (A) and an opposite opened surface (B) provided with gas rectifying apparatuses 4 and 5 respectively, and the resultant extruded yarn (Y) is cooled both by a cooling gas cooled by a cooling chamber 2, filtered through a filter 3, blown through the blowing surface (A) and rectified by the rectifying apparatus 4, and by the open air sucked through the opened surface (B), and rectified through the rectifying apparatus 5 into the spinning stack, and then taken off at a taking off speed of 1,000W1,500m/min to give the aimed synthetic filamentary yarn having a size per filament 0.5W2 deniers. The blowing velocity of the cooling gas at the blowing surface is preferably 5W30cm/sec.
