Abstract

PURPOSE:Hollow cuprammonium cellulosic fibers having a specific wall thickness and outside diameter and a protrusion having a thickness of specified ratio based on the wall thickness around a part of the whole periphery, and high strength and uniform dialytic properties. CONSTITUTION:Hollow cuprammonium cellulosic fibers 2 having hollow parts continuously passing therethrough over the total fibrous length, a wall part 3 with a wall thickness (d1) of 5-100mum and the outside diameter (d2) of 50-1,000mum and a protrusion 4 having a thickness (d3) 1.3-3 times that of the wall thickness (d1) on 10-40% whole periphery. The inner and outer surfaces and interior of the hollow fibers are preferably uniform and skinless with gentle curls.
