Abstract

PURPOSE: To alleviate loads on a filtration type dust collector as well as miniaturize the dimensions of the dust collector by a method in which a detachable prefilter box is provided at the air suction port side of the dust collector in order to beforehand remove coarse dust.
CONSTITUTION: Coarse dust particles in air introduced from a suction port 13 are adhered and deposited on the surface of a prefilter 14, compressed by an operating lever 17 and a compression piece 18, and then removed from the surface of the filter 14. Then, the compressed dust is housed in a dust box, and unarrested fine dust particles passing through the prefilter 14 are collected by a filter 3 inside the dust collector 1 and then housed in a dust box 9.
