Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove adhered dust efficiently in good workability by a method wherein a cylindrical brush is arranged so as to be interposed between a dust collect ing electrode and a discharge electrode and raised and lowered while contacted with both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A winch is operated to wind up and unwind a rope to raise and lower a cylindrical brush 3 as well as a drive apparatus is operated to rotate a shaft 4 through a flexible shaft 10, bevel gears 11, 12 in order to rotate the cylindrical brush 3. An outer periphery of the cylindrical brush 3 is contacted with a dust collecting electrode 1 and a discharge electrode 2 and, while rotated, guided by the dust collecting electrode 1 and a guide post 13 to be raised or lowered and, at the same time, an entire surface of both electrodes 1, 2 is cleaned.
