Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of machined goods by a method wherein a series electrical discharge circuit composed of an impedance element and a switching element is added in parallel with an electrical discharge condenser arranged in parallel with a mchining gap to control discharge energy intermittently. CONSTITUTION:An electrical discharge circuit by an impedance element, for example, an inductance 10 and the 2nd switching transistor 11 is added in parallel with an electrical discharge condenser 5 arranged in parallel with a machining gap 3. The instant the 1st switching transistor is turned OFF the 2nd switching transistor 11 is turned ON, the energy of the discharge condenser 5 is removed by the discharge course of the impedance element 10 and the 2nd switching transistor 11 and operated so that an arc state cannot be maintained. Thus, the discharge energy can be controlled intermittently.
