Abstract
PURPOSE:To machine the corner part of a work with precision on an apparatus on which the work and a wire electrode move relatively under a fixed machining voltage by a method wherein the corner of the work is prevented from dulling under the maintenance of fead speed just before the corner and machining voltage. CONSTITUTION:The average voltage in machining gaps is detected by a detector like an integrator INT or the like and in machining in a usual straight part periodical sampling is conducted holding circuit SH according to a sampling pulse (a). By the output of this circuit SH machining conditions such as the fead speed, electrical conditions, etc. are controlled to hold a fixed average machining voltage. When the electrode moves from the straight part to he corner part, the NC unit NC computes the corner angle directly before machining the corner part and when the angle is within a desired value, sampling is stopped by the hold circuit HLD to fix machining conditions just before the corner. Accordingly, signals of fixed level always are outputted and wire tension is increased by the brake power of a reel for the decrease of machining quantity at the corner part under the fixed machining conditions.
