Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the attachment of an encoder, by linking a rotary body, to which a movable part of the encoder is attached, and a feeding shaft, under the state they are floated by magnetic attracting force between a magnet provided on the feeding shaft side and a magnet provided on the rotary body side.
CONSTITUTION: The rotary body 30 is rotated along the internal peripheral surfaces of bearing members 32 and 34 by the magnetic attracting force between the magnet 52 attached to the outside surface of a collar 40 provided on the feeding shaft side 4 and the magnet 36 attached to the internal surface of the rotary body 30, with a gap being provided with respect to the feeding shaft 4. A slit plate 38 which is attached to the rotating body 30, i.e. the movable part of the encoder, is rotated. The rotation of the slit plate 38 is outputted as a pulse signal from a light receiving element 24, and displayed on a display part of a display device 20 as a digi tal quantity. Even though the central axis rotation of the rotary body 30 is not accurately coincided with the central shaft of the feeding shaft, the rotary body and the feeding shaft are linked together and smoothly rotated.
