Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a robust rotating angle sensor with simple electric process by a construction wherein a permanent magnet and paramagnetic substances each having a coil wound round it are disposed in parallel to a rotary shaft and a fan-shaped ferromagnetic substance is mounted on the rotary shaft to be rotated at a position near both the ends of the permanent magnet and the paramagnetic substance, thereby to detect a current generated when pulses of given voltage are applied to the coil.
CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet 18 and paramagnetic substance 19, 20 having coils 22, 31 wound around them, respectively, are disposed within a resinous body 5 in parallel to a rotary shaft 8. Thereabove a fan-shaped member 14 formed of a ferromagnetic substance is mounted on the rotary shaft 8. As pulse voltage is applied to an input terminal 102, a current passes through the coils 22, 31 alternately from a constant voltage power supply 101 via Tr103, inverting amplifiers IN3W5, and Tr121, 104, 182, 181. Voltage produced when the current passes through a resistor 105 and voltage when the current passes through a resistor 183 are integrated by an integrating circuit 184, 185 and thus integrated value is input to a differential amplifier 186, so that its output 108 issues two times voltage of a moving amount of the fan-shaped member 14 with respect to the paramagnetic substance 19. Thus, it becomes possible to obtain a robust rotating angle sensor with simple electric process.
