Abstract
PURPOSE:To cover a full scope of a stress area, to remove a backlash, and to improve a durable capacity, by a method wherein a given material is placed between a tension-compression load shaft and a twist load shaft. CONSTITUTION:A tension/compression actuator 19 and an outer frame of an actuator 20 are secured to a base 21, anda diaphragm 24 is mounted between a tension/ compression load shaft 22 and a twist shaft 23. The diaphram 24 is designed to be very low in a rigidity in an axial direction and high in a ridigity in a periphery direction. Displacement in the axial direction are all absorbed, and only a tiwst load is transferred to the actuator 20. This aplies a tension/compression load and a twist load to a thin cylinder test piece 25 with no interference. a flexible plate 29 is located between the outer frame of the twist actuator and the base 21 in order to absorb the displacement in the direction of the shaft applied to the actuator 20, and this also obtains the same effect.
