Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of distortion, by etecting a nonlinear error, which is generated in a transmission amplifier, by the output of a transmission amplifier and a base band signal to correct the output signal of a modulator.
CONSTITUTION: A part of the output of a transmission amplifier 2 is given to a synchronizing detector 24 to reproduce the original base band signal. The difference between this reproduced base band signal and the base band signal before inputting to a modulator is calculated by a subtractor 22. A complex coefficient ξ to be given to a nonlinear correcting circuit 1 is obtained by the obtained differential signal and a part of the base band signal. The nonlinear correcting circuit 1 consists of an odd function input/output characteristic circuit (such as a cubing circuit ) 10 and a complex multiplier 14 and generates a nonlinearity opposite to that of the transmission amplifier 2 to correct the nonlinearity of the transmission amplifier 2.
