Abstract

PURPOSE: To form good jet layer of particles for performing highly efficient granulation of the particles in great quantities by providing a vertical rectifying tube with a proper space to the upper part of the conical part of a jet layer type granulator.
CONSTITUTION: An inversed conical container 1b is provided in the lower part of a cylinder 1a, and a rectifying tube 9 of stainless steel, etc., is provided away from the wall of the inversed conical part 1b for its lower end in the upper central part of the inversed conical part 1b. Thus, jet flow of particles go up through the inside of the rectifying tube 9, go down along the wall, and then return to the jet layer in the inversed conical part 1b, during which period the amount of air supplied can be increased by the rectifying tube 9 and also can be concentrated on the central part. Thus, effects, e.g., an increase in the amount of particles to be treated, the formation and maintenance of good jet layer of particles, and enhancement of the controllability of operation can be attained.
