Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size and cost of a feeder capable of hand-inserted paper supply as well, by enabling identical feed means to supply not only a copying material in the box-shaped body of the feeder but also a hand-inserted copying material.
CONSTITUTION: For manual insertion supply, an open/close lid 6 is pressed into a state as shown in the drawing and the front end of a lower guide 6b is inserted in between a roller-like stopper 13 and a loaded copying material P. As a result, a microswitch 15 is turned on by a cam 8 through an operating member 14 to change over the rotational frequency of a feed roller 11 or the like to a level for the manual insertion supply. Copying paper is then put on a flat part 6a and pushed in. The front end of the pushed-in paper is halted by the stopper 13 so that the front end is positioned. A copying switch is then pressed to rotate the crescent-shaped feed roller 11 to send out the copying paper through between the roll-lie stopper 13 and the lower guide 6b. For automatic paper supply, the open/close lid 6 is pulled out to a non-feed side.
