Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtiain the stable feeding of sheet material in a device to feed long sheet material automatically from one rotational body to another rotational body by giving load only to the supply side rotational body when the sheet material is fed in a low speed.
CONSTITUTION: In a microfilm reader, pictures are projected by a projection device set at the position of a guide plate 5 from a film F which is let out from a supply reel 8 and wound up on a windup reel 13 via guide rollers 10 and 11. These reels 8 and 13 are respectively rotated by operations of motors M1 and M2 via gear lines 14 and 15; 20 and 21. At this stage, frictional disks 17 and 22 are fast fixed on the ends of rotational shafts 8a and 13a respectively for working as brakes, while frictional members 18 and 23 are provided to face to these disks 17 and 22. For feeding the film F in a high speed, solenoids S1 and S2 are operated to separate both frictional members 18 and 23 from disks 17 and 22. For feeding in a low speed, the solenoid S1 is off, and load is given only to the reel 8.
