Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce superior products of less cavities with a simple device by packing gaseous oxygen beforehand in an ejector box, evacuating the inside of a cavity and forcibly feeding molten metal into the cavity.
CONSTITUTION: Gaseous oxygen is beforehand supplied through a supply pipe 7 into an ejector box 5, and is kept packed slightly higher than atmospheric pressure. Thereafter, a movable die 1 is adhered tightly to a stationary die 2, and the dies are clamped. The air in a cavity 3 is evacuated through an air vent pipe 8 connected to a vacuum pump, thereby developing a evacuated state. When the inside of the cavity 3 is evacuated, the gaseous oxygen in the box 5 infilters the inside of the cavity 3 through the insertion holes 9 of ejector pins 6 in some case. Next, the molten metal in a plunger sleeve 4 is injected and forcibly fed into the cavity 3.
