Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a firmly joined torus member at low cost with ease by performing joining of the butt surfaces of the torus member by electronical welding. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a bushing bearing, both ends faces 3 which are the butt surfaces of backing strips 1 laminated with a bearing alloy 2 are firmly joined by two point spot welding of electron beams. Since this welding can be executed by narrowing the heat affected zone, the welding is accomplished without elution of the alloy 2. It is equally well to use electrical welding such as laser welding or phasma welding. If the surfaces 3 have the strength to withstand working such as inside diameter boring, outside diameter polishing and the like after welding, one spot welding may be employed, or in some cases full surface welding is required.
