Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of loops, and average and stabilize the nuggets of upper and lower plates by differing the feed speeds of the upper and lower wire electrodes to be put on a pair of upper and lower roller electrodes and cuasing slips between the same and the work.
CONSTITUTION: While a conductor wire of a circular shape in section is deformed and hardened to an elliptical shape by delivery rolls A, it is delivered at a speed WA, is wound on the 1st roller electrode 1, and is drawn out at the speed higher than the speed WA by the 1st draw-out rolls B. The rolls B do the work of correcting the damages that the wire received by passing through the electrode 1, regenerating the same and feeding the wire to the 2nd roller electrode 2. The wire electrode 12 on the electrode 3 side where electric current concentrates is slipped more with respect to the work 10 than the wire electrode 11 on the electrode 1 side. Then, the current density is averaged and the good welding is accomplished with the required minimum current.
