Abstract
PURPOSE: An organic polymer composition highly stabilized against deterioration caused by thermal oxidation, obtained by blending it with an acylate hydroxycarboxylic acid type compound.
CONSTITUTION: 0.05W2wt% compound shown by the formula (R is H, alkyl or alkenyl which may be replaced by 1W5 OH; R1 is Mm+, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl; Me is metal ofI, II or III group, Zn, D, Sn, Pb, Ti, Sb, Bi or V; m is valence of metal), e.g., calcium stearoyl citrate, is added to an organic polymer. 0.001W1wt% phenolic type compound of steric hindrance is preferably used with the compound shown by the formula. A polyolefin, unsaturated elastomer, copolymer of mono- or diolefin, (co)polymer of an unsaturated acid, polymer of an unsa turated alcohol and an amine, polyacetal, (co)polyamide, etc. may be cited as the organic polymer.
