PURPOSE:To facilitate the monitoring of state information, by cyclically displaying the state information of plural conditional factors concerning ON/OFF the designated output element. CONSTITUTION:The state of conditional element concerning ON/OFF of the output element of a sequence SQ controller CT10 is displayed on a display panel 23 of a state display device 20. When the monitoring is desired for the state of the conditional element concerning the ON/OFF of the specific output element , the number of the output element is set by means of a numerical key 30 to operate a retrieval command key 31. Thus a program block including an output instruction concerning the set output element is read out of an SQ memory 11 to be stored in the buffer area BUA of a memory 22. A counter is added to an arithmetic processor 21 to designate in turn plural instruction data in an SQ program and to switch the conditional factor to display the factor number and the state information. Then the state information of the conditional factors are displayed cyclically. Accordingly the states of plural conditional factors concerning the ON/OFF can be repetitively monitored just by setting once the number of the output element.
