Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the error of time-to-go calculation, by calculating the estimated flying time of a flying object by obtaining the relative speed and distance in he direction of straight line connecting a guided flying object and a target object as well as the linear mean acceleration between the flying objet and the target object up to a hit of the flying object. CONSTITUTION:The yaw and the pitch ritating angle of a 2-shaft gimbal of homing device 1 are detected by a gimbal angle detector 8 and then supplied to a time- to-go calculating device 9. The estimated value is calculated through a Kalman filter 2 for the angular speed of the position vector between a flying object and a target object that is measured by a device 1, the distance R between the flying and target objects and the relative speed in the linear direction connecting the flying and target objects respectively. The output of this calculation is supplied to the device 9. The device 9 obtains the mean value from the signal given from the detector 8 and the estimated value given from the filter 2 and calculates the estimated flying time (time-to-go) up to a hit of the flying object to supply it to a navigation calculating device 4. Thus the device 4 calculates the optimum navigation. The angular speed, the distance (R) and the means value of the relative speed ae obtained at the device 9. Thus the error is reduced for the time-to-go calculation.
