Polar coordinate system data obtained by a transmitter-receiver 103 is converted by a coordinate converter 104 into an X.Y coordinate system before being stored in the storage circuit 101. when a route signal having many picture elements is read by a reading circuit 202, a reference synchronizing signal is sent to a reading circuit 102 via a CPU203. signals from a coordinate setter 205, a scale setter 206, a position setter 212, etc., are sent to a coordinate converter 104 through the CPU203.
