PURPOSE:To light three kinds of unit information at a low voltage by applying a pulse voltage to a common electrode in response to information for the 1st digit or to a segment electrode in response to information for the 2nd digit, by detecting the coincidence among the 2nd digits of hour, minute and second data. CONSTITUTION:The time is counted by counters 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and 7 and 8 for the 1st and 2nd digits of second, minute and hour data of an electronic counterpiece. Outputs of the counters 3, 5 and 7 are inputted to output sequence converting circuits 16-18 through decoders 10-12. According to parity states of output values of the counters 4, 6 and 8, terminals (h) and (h') are held at logical values 1 and 0, and the outputs of the circuits 16-18 are supplied to a segment voltage supply circuit 22. The outputs of the counters 4, 6 and 8, on the other hand, are supplied to a common voltage supply circuit 23 through decoders 13-15. When the output values of the counters 3, 5 and 7 are different, coincidence is not detected 19-21 and terminals (a), (b) and (d) are held at 0. Therefore, 60 segment electrodes of a liquid- crystal part, which is not shown in the figure, are lighted by a pulse voltage from a circuit 24.
