Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a liq. developer with enhanced fixability and printing resistance by using a toner contg. a copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid with (meth)acrylic acid ester and a copolymer of (meth)acrylic acid ester with glycidyl ester of (meth) acrylic acid. CONSTITUTION:A liq. developer is prepared by dispersing a toner contg. 2 kinds of copolymers represented by formulaeI, II, (where each of R1 and R3 is H or CH3; R2 is 6-18C alkyl; each of n and m is 10-100; and the ratio of n:m is 99:1- 50:50). The preferred ratio between the copolymer of formulaIand the copolymer of formula II is about 10:90-90:10 by wt. A colorant such as carbon black or nigrosine pigment is added by about 0.1-1.5pts. to 1pt.wt. of the copolymers, and a polarity controller, etc. are further added. Thus, a developer having superior printing resistance and giving high image density and low and clear ground density is obtd.
