Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the damage and improve the reliability of an automatic pressure regualting type electromagnetic pump by having a pressure receiving mechanism of a metal pressure receiving plunger instead of a diaphragm in such a pump.
CONSTITUTION: When a solenoid coil is energized an electromagnetic plunger 1 and a piston 9 make reciprocating movement to pump the fluid by a suction valve 12 and a discharge valve 13 opening a solenoid valve 28 to discharge the fluid through a discharge port 32. When the discharge pressure is increased for some reason the pressure between a nozzle and a pumping chamber 11 increases to displace a pressure receiving plunger 20 against a adjusting spring 22, the amount of such displacement being transmitted to a pressure reducing valve 17 via a rod 19, said pressure reducing valve 17 being moved to the direction to effect more constricting action to constrict the passing flow by a constriction hole and the pressure reducing valve to limit the supply of fluid to the nozzle size thereby automatically regulating the discharge pressure to the set pressure.
