Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the intermediate rolling operation of tea leaves without skilled technicians, by changing the tea processing elements during the intermediate rolling process using the read-made patterns as indices.
CONSTITUTION: When the property of the tea leaves is well determined, and the intermediate rolling is to be carried out using one of the eight ready-made patterns, the pattern selection switch 27 is turned to the position of the desired pattern. The charging order button 32a of the rolling and drying chamber to be operated, e.g. the first rolling and drying chamber, is pushed to charge the tea leaves into the first rolling and drying chamber. When the intermediate rolling operation has started, the designated ready-made pattern is transmistted from the ROM memory to the working area in the RAM memory corresponding to the selected rolling and drying chamber. The number of rotations of fan and that of the rotary drum are detected with the r.p.m. sensors 43a, 44a of the chamber, compared with the patterns stored in the working area, and adjusted with the operation motors M1-1, M2-1 until the difference becomes zero. The above program is executed over the time preset by the intermediate rolling time setting device 22.
